Westside Resource Centre

Westside Resource Centre is a community based not-for-profit organisation with
charitable status. We provide serviced office space to charitable and
voluntary organisations. We offer reception services, caretaking, kitchen &
meeting room facilities, access to office equipment etc. to our clients. These
supports allow our occupants to focus on delivering their core services whilst
we look after the premises. Our commitment is to provide a professional
service whilst maintaining a supportive community atmosphere and ethos.

Westside Resource Centre also provides meeting and training rooms to numerous
community groups. Some of these organisations base themselves in the resource
centre whilst others use our services on a weekly or monthly basis. These
clients work with various disadvantaged groups and use our facilities as a
meeting place for social gatherings, information sessions, training and fund-
raising activities etc.

We cater for and host many different educational classes, courses and
seminars. We provide classroom space, equipment, catering service,
photocopying etc. Some classes are formally accredited whilst others are more
informal in nature and cover subjects such as arts and crafts, health and
wellbeing, meditation, gardening, computing, cookery etc.

We provide useful ‘document services’ directly to members of the public with
photocopying, faxing and laminating services available at our main reception
desk. We display information on the work of various not-for-profit
organisations and agencies and we assist them in promoting and publicising
their work. Local people therefore use our reception area as a general
information resource.

Westside Resource Centre is also very much involved in supporting and
organising a number of ongoing and successful community projects. These
include the Westside Arts Festival, Westside Community Organic Garden,
Westside Newsletter and the Westside Social Club for Older People.
