ATU Innovation Hub Mayo (ATU iHub Mayo)

ATU iHub Mayo offers incubation space and supports to high potential
entrepreneurs and innovative business start-ups and scale ups. We have a
sister incubator at ATU iHub Galway City.

We provide access to entrepreneur development programmes such as [New
Frontiers](https://gmitihubs.ie/nf-phase-2-2018/) Ireland’s national
entrepreneur development programme funded by Enterprise Ireland (EI), and the
[EMPOWER programme](http://www.empowerher.ie/) supporting Female Entrepreneurs
in the West and North West Region in addition to access to research
collaboration supports on campus through [GMIT Research
Office](https://www.gmit.ie/research/research) and the [MET
Centre](https://metcentre.ie/).

Inbound companies can choose from offer a range of space options such as
Incubation units, Co-Working and virtual offices.

Since 2006, the Innovation Hubs (iHubs) at ATU Galway City and Mayo have
assisted entrepreneurs to develop and bring their business ideas to the
marketplace. Designed to play a strategic role in the development of the West
and North West region, the iHubs help drive the enterprise model of market-led
and knowledge-based industry development.

A critical goal of the iHubs is the number of successful Start-Up companies
that emerge from the Incubation pipeline. These new companies will have
survived the early stages of growth and become independent standalone entities
which have successfully developed new products or services for global markets.

To-date we have:
• nurtured 750+ directly supported jobs
• hosted 39 high growth start-ups companies
• won €170M in investment funding by our client companies
• celebrated 7 company acquisitions
• conducted in excess of €1.7 Million in collaborative research with our
members
• transitioned 45 successful companies
• helped build resilient companies with 76% of all our member companies still
in business after 7 years.
