About the Hub

Ballyfad Hub is situated in a newly contructed Community centre which was the
site of an old national school and teachers residence prior to 1949. The main
hall is 107 sq. meters which seats 120 people comfortably. The stage area is
24 sq, meters. The stage is fitted out with modern stage lighting and sound
equipment. the stage has a stage lift for the benefit of impaired persons.

Overlooking the main hall is a meeting room 27sq. meters which can be utilised
for many community meetings, workshops and hotdesks. Toilet facilities are
adjacent to the room as well.

The main hall can be made available to many groups for their own specific
purpose. Recently groups with interests in Irish Language, History, Folklore,
Drama, ICA, Dancing, Youth needs project, Youth Club, School Study Group. All
who enjoyed the comfort of the Community Centre.

The Community centre is only 1km from the entrance to Raheenleagh Windfarm who
supported our centre project from the beginning, The windfarm is adjacent to
Croghan Mountain where there are beautiful views of six surrounding counties
and out over the Irish Sea with views of the great hills of Wales.
